Italian wine is one of the world’s most appreciated typical products. Italy, in fact, guests some of the world’s oldest regions with wine production. It is thought that Etrusches and Greeks have been the first to produce wine in Italy, time before the Romans. Italy is today one of the principal wine producers in the world and it is responsible of about one fifht of the world’s wine production (datas 2005). Altought, in 2008 Italy has won the price for the world’s biggest wine producer.

Wine is extremely popular in Italy. Italians drink very much wine. Groupfruits, from where wine is extracted, grow almost in every Italian region. Among the best Italian wines i wish to name: il Nebbiolo, il Montepulciano, il Barbera, il Nero d’Avola, l’Aglianico, il Barolo …

It is better to drink wine only during the meals and however it’s necessary to drink with moderation.
